Wedding Tuxedo Timeframe
For weddings, we recommend starting the tuxedo or suit process about 6 months before the wedding date. This allows the groom to select a style, coordinate colors and accessories, and get professionally measured with plenty of time to plan for the entire wedding party. Groomsmen should be measured within the following few months, including out-of-town members, and all details are typically finalized 1–2 months before the wedding. Tuxedos arrive in store the week of the wedding for final try-ons and any last-minute adjustments, ensuring everything is perfect for the big day.
Prom Tuxedo Timeline
For prom, the timeline is shorter. We recommend coming in 6–8 weeks before prom for the best selection of styles, colors, and sizes. This provides enough time for proper fitting and any necessary exchanges. While it’s still possible to get a tuxedo 3–4 weeks before prom, options may be more limited, and anything closer than 1–2 weeks out is considered rush service with very limited availability. Starting early helps ensure the best look with the least stress.
